Bhubaneswar: A dense fog engulfed the Twin city of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack on Wednesday morning with the visibility dropping to dangerously low level in both the cities.
The thick blanket of fog disrupted traffic and vehicular movement on the roads and the national highway with visibility reducing to below 30 metre.
Earlier, on Tuesday, the Regional Meteorological Centre had predicted shallow to moderate fog at one or two places over the districts of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara Khurda and Dhenkanal.
Light rain or thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and weather most likely to remain dry over the rest districts of Odisha on March 3, the Met Centre had said yesterday.
Similarly, fog- shallow to moderate is likely to occur at Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsinghpur and Cuttack on March 4.
