The grand finale of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025, scheduled for June 3 at the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, will feature a special tribute to the Indian Armed Forces in its closing ceremony, according to reports from Sportstar.
This year’s closing ceremony aims to blend cricketing celebration with patriotic reverence, specifically commemorating the valor displayed during Operation Sindoor—a decisive military response launched by India on May 7 following the April 22 terrorist attack in Pahalgam, which claimed 26 lives.
The precision strikes under Operation Sindoor targeted terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir, demonstrating India’s resolve while maintaining strategic restraint.
Throughout the season, the BCCI has organised tributes including national anthem observances and in-stadium messages like “Proud of the Indian Armed Forces.”
The finale tribute is expected to serve as a symbol of unity and national pride, showcasing the intersection of sports and patriotic sentiment on a global platform.
