A high-level multi-party delegation, led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, departed for Japan on Wednesday as part of India’s intensified diplomatic outreach to highlight Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism.

The effort follows India’s bold response under Operation Sindoor, launched after the devastating Pahalgam terror attack that killed at least 26 civilians.

The delegation’s itinerary includes visits to South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, in addition to Japan. Their mission: to present India’s position on cross-border terrorism, share details of Pakistan’s terror infrastructure, and justify India’s retaliatory strikes on nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.

In a statement on X (formerly Twitter), Jha emphasized that the purpose of the visit is to “tell the world the truth about Pakistan’s policy of patronising terrorism” and explain India’s decisive action under Operation Sindoor.

The group includes prominent MPs from across the political spectrum — BJP’s Aparajita Sarangi, Brijlal, Pradhan Barua, and Hemang Joshi; Congress leader and former External Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid; TMC’s Abhishek Banerjee; CPI(M)’s John Brittas; and former diplomat Mohan Kumar.

“Zero tolerance against terrorism!” declared the Ministry of External Affairs in a post, reaffirming India’s firm stance. “The first group of All Party Delegation led by JD(U) MP Sanjay Kumar Jha has departed for a 5-nation visit as part of India’s diplomatic outreach on Operation Sindoor,” it added.

In parallel, another delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde is also heading out. This group will visit the UAE, Liberia, Congo, and Sierra Leone, with similar objectives.

Overall, the Indian government is dispatching seven multi-party delegations to engage with global leaders and make the case for Pakistan’s accountability in fostering terrorism. The diplomatic blitz marks a significant escalation in India’s global narrative-building efforts after the latest wave of violence from across the border.
