Odisha Govt Gets Go-Ahead For Development Of Rasgovindpur Airstrip

New Delhi: The Centre on Tuesday approved the Grant of Working Permission to Odisha government for development of Rasgovindpur Airstrip near Amarda Road in Mayurbhanj District.

The Ministry of Defence has informed the State government in written today.

The President of India sanctioned the grant of Working Permission to State government on defence land measuring 160.35 acres at Amarda Road for development of Airstrip on the basis of cash compensation amounting to Rs. 26.03,10,4381- in lieu of defence land, the Ministry stated.

The Working Permission on defence land measuring 160.35 Acres valued as Rs. 26,03.10,438 to State government is accorded on the basis of erection of Cash Compensation.

A separate Board of Officers (BOO) will be convened to ascertain exact location and demarcate the quantum of land to be mutually used by Government of Odisha and DRDO. The BOO will complete the proceeding within four weeks from issue of the Working Permission.

The Ministry further clarified that the cost overrun due to delay in execution of work for creating the approved infrastructure will be borne by the Indenting Agency.

The Indenting Agency would deposit the amount of cash compensation in Consolidated Fund of India (CFI) before execution of Working Permission, the letter read.
