In a significant move to enhance the judicial infrastructure in Odisha, the Union Law and Justice Minister, Arjun Ram Meghwal, has announced a sanction of Rs 7.64 crore for the financial year 2025-26.
This funding falls under the Centrally Sponsored Scheme (CSS) and aims to streamline judicial services and improve access to justice in the state.
The allocation will be routed through SNA-SPARSH, an advanced system designed to facilitate swift and efficient fund transfers under CSS. By integrating multiple financial platforms such as the Public Financial Management System (PFMS) and the RBI’s e-Kuber, the initiative ensures transparency and real-time transaction capabilities.
Speaking on the development, Meghwal stated, “This fund will reinforce judicial infrastructure and improve access to speedy justice in the state.” The financial aid is expected to bolster courtroom facilities, enhance digitisation efforts, and strengthen the overall justice delivery mechanism.
This announcement marks a crucial step in ensuring a modernised legal framework for Odisha, benefiting the judiciary and the citizens seeking timely legal redressal.
