Ingredients
- 4 medium potato
- 1 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 3 teaspoon corn flour
- salt as required
- oregano as required
- 3 teaspoon garlic mayonnaise
- 3/4 teaspoon red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of ginger paste
- 4 tablespoons melted butter
- 2 teaspoon coriander leaves
- 4 tablespoon vegetable oil
Instruction
- In a bowl mix together Garlic Mayo, salt, chilli powder, pepper, cumin powder, ginger paste, melted butter and cornflour.
- Wash and peel the skin of the potatoes. Insert the skewer lengthwise from the middle of the potato. With a sharp knife, start slicing the potato from one end. Don’t slice it till the middle to cut the piece away, slice until it is slightly at the middle and keep rotating the potato as move along slicing to create a spiral slice. Carefully open the half-joined slices to create an open spiral on the skewer.
- Using a brush or spoon, coat the spiralled potatoes generously with the dressing prepared on all sides.
- Heat a flat saucepan with some cooking oil (enough to just cover the base of the pan) and place each potato tornado in the heated oil. Keep rotating the spiral to evenly cook the potatoes on all sides until it takes a crispy, brown colour.
- Drizzle some extra Garlic Mayo on top, along with chopped coriander and oregano. Make sure you try the recipe, like it, rate it and let us know how it turned out to be in the comment section below.
