Tata Group has announced an investment of Rs 63,000 crore in a new project in Odisha’s Jajpur district.
The foundation stone for the project will be laid by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi on May 22, marking a significant milestone for Odisha’s economic development.
The project is expected to create over 34,000 job opportunities, paving the way for large-scale employment across various sectors. In addition to Tata’s investment, JSW and Vedanta have shown keen interest in expanding their presence in Odisha, further strengthening the state’s position as a preferred industrial hub.
The Odisha government has assured full support, including land acquisition, infrastructure development, and regulatory clearances, to ensure the seamless execution of the project. Minister Sampad Swain emphasised that this initiative would not only boost Odisha’s economy but also facilitate the growth of small and medium enterprises in the region.
On May 22, CM Mohan Majhi will also lay foundation stones for 12 projects and inaugurate 4 projects, with a total investment of Rs 1.14 lakh crore, reaffirming Odisha’s commitment to industrialisation.
