In response to Pakistan’s latest statement, India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal has delivered a sharp rebuttal, stating that Pakistan’s long-standing support for terrorism will not shield it from its consequences.

Jaiswal emphasised that the terrorist infrastructure destroyed by India was responsible not only for Indian casualties but also for innocent lives globally. He noted that Pakistan’s approach to terrorism has reached an industrial scale, making it imperative for them to recognise a “new normal” in diplomatic and military responses.

The MEA spokesperson further highlighted the technical difficulties faced by Pakistan in establishing communication with India during a crucial phone call on May 10, 2025, between the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) of both nations. Despite these challenges, the Indian side remained steadfast, ensuring that Pakistan understood the gravity of the situation.

Referring to recent attacks, Jaiswal underscored the evidence linking the perpetrators of the Pahalgam attack to Pakistan-based terrorist groups. He mentioned that the Resistance Front initially claimed responsibility for the attack twice before withdrawing their statements, possibly under external pressure.

In a bold assertion, the MEA Spokesperson remarked that India’s decisive military action earlier on May 10, targeting key Pakistani Air Force bases, was instrumental in compelling Pakistan to cease its firing. India also reiterated its clear and consistent diplomatic stance in conversations with other nations regarding Pakistan’s support for terrorism.
