Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here has issued heavy rainfall alert for several districts of the State.
According to IMD’s latest bulletin, the well marked low pressure area over central parts of Madhya Pradesh persists and it is likely to move nearly northwestwards across Madhya Pradesh during next 24 hour.
“The monsoon trough at mean sea level now passes through Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Bhopal, centre of Well Marked Low Pressure Area over southeast Madhya Pradesh & neighbourhood, Bhatapara,
Jharsuguda, Balasore and thence eastsoutheastwards to Northeast Bay of Bengal, it added.
Under the influence, several parts of Odisha will experience heavy rainfall activities in the next 48 hours.
A ‘yellow warning’ has also been issued in this regard.
