In the escalation of hostilities between India and Pakistan, the Indian Armed Forces launched a major offensive on Karachi Port, targeting key installations linked to terrorist infrastructure.

The strikes, carried out under Operation Sindoor, come in response to Pakistan’s missile attack on multiple Indian regions, which were intercepted by air defence systems.

According to official sources, the Indian Navy has conducted a major operation at Karachi Port, resulting in 12 explosions and causing significant destruction. In fear for their safety, residents have reportedly evacuated their homes. A large fire has erupted at the port amid rising tensions, accompanied by constant sirens warning civilians to remain indoors.

Defense sources indicate that several missiles have been launched from the INS Vikrant targeting the Karachi and Ormara ports in Pakistan. The Pakistani Navy has a base in both Karachi and Ormara, where the headquarters of their top officials, as well as warships and submarines, are stationed. The Indian Navy’s operation is currently ongoing.

Meanwhile, Pakistan has retaliated with intensified cross-border firing, resulting in casualties on the Indian side. The Pakistani government has imposed a nationwide curfew, with a blackout reported in major cities including Islamabad, Lahore, and Karachi.

Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri reaffirmed that India’s actions were a measured response to Pakistan’s escalations and stressed that any further aggression from Islamabad would be met with appropriate countermeasures.

The Indian Defence Ministry stated that overnight missile interceptions successfully thwarted all Pakistani attempts to strike military targets in India. Additionally, the Indian Air Force has reportedly disabled Pakistan’s radar systems, further crippling their retaliatory capabilities.

As diplomatic efforts continue behind the scenes, the global community is watching closely, urging both nations to de-escalate and restore stability in the region.
