In light of recent developments in Jammu and Kashmir, Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh conducted a comprehensive review meeting with key administrative officials from the Jammu division.

The focus was on assessing civil defence readiness, emergency services, public reassurance measures, and strategies to maintain calm in the region.

Officials provided detailed updates on transport arrangements, maintenance of bunkers, evacuee camp operations, and reinforcement of medical care. Dr. Singh praised the swift action taken by district teams and emphasised the importance of monitoring misinformation on social media.

Highlighting concerns about border villages in Kathua and Samba, the Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to civilian safety. He urged officials to maintain continuous dialogue with residents to boost public confidence.

Dr. Singh concluded the meeting by reiterating that the situation is under close watch and is being managed with a comprehensive government approach, ensuring swift responses to emerging challenges.
