Following India’s decisive execution of Operation Sindoor, domestic airlines have cancelled nearly 430 flights, disrupting travel plans across the nation.

With 27 airports shut until May 10, carriers are navigating stringent airspace restrictions and avoiding sensitive zones.

Major airports affected include Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Amritsar, and Chandigarh, with airlines such as Air India, IndiGo, and SpiceJet rolling out refund policies and flexible rebooking options for impacted passengers. Defence personnel are receiving additional support, with Air India offering full refunds and waived rescheduling fees for those serving in critical operations.

Flight tracking data indicates that civilian air traffic has significantly reduced over Pakistan and India’s western corridor, demonstrating heightened security concerns. Government officials, including National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, have briefed key stakeholders on the operational decisions, reaffirming India’s commitment to national security.

Passengers stranded due to cancellations are advised to stay updated on airline advisories and travel alternatives. Authorities continue to monitor the situation, ensuring that critical operations remain unaffected.
