Indo-Canadian communities have expressed deep anger after a hate-filled speech was delivered during the Khalsa Day parade in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) on Sunday, calling for the removal of Indian-origin residents from Canada.

A video shared with Hindustan Times captured an unidentified speaker using a megaphone, declaring that “eight lakh Bhartis” should be sent back to India. The backdrop included floats bearing pro-Khalistan slogans, anti-India banners, and disturbing phrases like “Kill India”, along with images targeting Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The parade route, which began in Malton and moved toward Toronto’s Rexdale area, also featured messages showing solidarity between pro-Khalistan and pro-Pakistan groups.

While it’s unclear whether the inflammatory floats were officially sanctioned by parade organizers, the Indo-Canadian community has condemned the incident, calling it a direct threat to peace and multicultural harmony in Canada.

Authorities are yet to respond publicly to the footage or confirm whether an investigation is underway.
