Amid rising concerns over the safety of public transport, a woman was crushed to death under a speeding Mo Bus near an overbridge under Tamando police limits on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
According to reports, the bus was en route to Kalinga Nagar depot. At that time, four people were moving on scooters from the service road when the bus descending on the NH first hit a scooter and then another. As a result, a woman died on the spot and three people were seriously injured.
The bus reportedly hit the woman and dragged her up to about 100 meters following which she died on the spot.
Following this incident, an unruly mob stopped a Mo Bus near Sriya Talkies and shattered the window glasses to vent their anger.

On Feb 6, two women were critically injured in a Mo Bus accident at Chandrasekharpur BDA Square in Bhubaneswar, while in Cuttack the next Friday morning a speeding Mo Bus hit a vegetable vendor near Khan Nagar, leaving him seriously injured.
