Rayagada: The body of a man was found hanging from a tree inside a temple premises in Antamada village under Chandili police limits in Rayagada district.
The deceased has been identified as Sripati Dharua (54) of the village.
According to reports, the matter came to the fore after some villagers spotted the body and immediately informed the police about the same.
On being alerted, police reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. However, the exact reason behind the death of the victim is yet to be ascertained.
Further investigation is underway into the matter, police said.
