India Rebukes Pak Army Chief Over Kashmir Remarks: ‘Only Link Is to Vacate Occupied Land’

India has strongly condemned Pakistani Army Chief General Asim Munir’s recent claim that Kashmir is Pakistan’s “jugular vein”, firmly asserting that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and that Pakistan’s only relation with it is to vacate the territory it illegally occupies.

Responding to Munir’s remarks, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal stated,

“How can anything foreign be in a jugular vein? Jammu and Kashmir is a Union Territory of India. Pakistan’s only connection to it is to vacate the areas it continues to occupy illegally.”

Munir’s comments came in a viral video where he called on Pakistanis to pass down the nation’s origin story to younger generations.

“Our forefathers believed we were entirely different from Hindus—in religion, traditions, ambitions. That belief laid the foundation of the two-nation theory,” Munir said, emphasizing Pakistan’s distinct identity and the sacrifices made for its creation.

The general urged youth to remember Pakistan’s history and deepen their bond with the country.

“No matter the generation, they must know what Pakistan stands for,” he said.

Addressing Balochistan’s security situation, Munir declared a hardline stance against insurgent groups, stating:

“Even ten generations of terrorists cannot harm Balochistan or Pakistan.”

He warned militant outfits like the BLA, BLF, and BRA, claiming they stand no chance against the military’s resolve.

Munir also thanked overseas Pakistanis for their continued loyalty and support in Pakistan’s fight against terrorism.

India’s strong rebuttal adds to the ongoing diplomatic strain between the two nations, with New Delhi maintaining that Kashmir’s future is solely an internal matter.
