Ranchi: Central University of Jharkhand is going to be a hub of skill development and start ups for the entire region especially Jharkhand. The young tribal students can be empowered through this intervention. Cluster development, agribusiness, health and wellness, small enterprises development will be taken up from the session 202-23. NSID and SIDBI will also join in this Endeavour. This bring a turn around in the regional economy that will be visible within 3 years” said Prof. Kshiti Bhusan Das, Vice Chancellor, CUJ while signing an MoU with The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) at New Delhi.
The CUJ, Ranchi, will collaborate with the National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD), an autonomous institution under the Union ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship, to promote entrepreneurship in technical and professional education.
The MoU was signed between Poonam Sinha, director OD NIESBUD, The National Institute for Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD); Prof Kshiti Bhusan Das, Vice-chancellor of CUJ, and Dr Devdas Laata, head, department of energy engineering, CUJ; in the presence of Rajesh Aggarwal, secretary, ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship.
The primary objective of the MoU is to combine the strengths of NIESBUD and CUJ towards sustained development of entrepreneurial skills, entrepreneurship education and facilitate training in Jharkhand. The collaboration is aimed at creating a conducive environment to promote entrepreneurship on and off campus through a series of mutually agreed, collaborative and value-added programmes, policies, and curriculam.
Under the partnership, both NIESBUD and CUJ will work together to boost Jharkhand’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. This will be achieved by extending their respective institutional expertise in terms of technology, knowledge, management, and resources. In addition, the institutions will organize a trainer’s training programme in entrepreneurship skills and education. By working together, both institutions will create proposals and a trainer’s training programme for The Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation (ITEC) countries. Joint events such as seminars/workshops/outreach programmes will also be organised to encourage students to understand the intricacies of entrepreneurship.
The partnership will enable exchange of best practices and provide access to resources and knowledge repositories on request within the institutional capacity for better design of new programmes and policies in entrepreneurship.

Inculcating entrepreneurial skills and spirit into the budding innovators of tomorrow is a part of the national push towards making India a hub of innovation,” said Rajesh Aggarwal, secretary, ministry of skill development and entrepreneurship.
