The Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the Odisha Government has placed Sami Reddy Jayashree, an Odisha Administrative Service [OAS-A(JB)] officer and Block Development Officer (BDO) of Kantamal in Boudh district, under immediate suspension.
The disciplinary order was issued following pending proceedings against the officer.
Headquarters Fixation & Operational Directives
Under the official order issued by the state government, operational restrictions and administrative terms have been laid down for the suspended officer during the inquiry period:
During her suspension period, Jayashree’s headquarters has been fixed at the office of the Revenue Divisional Commissioner (Northern Division), Sambalpur.
The officer has been strictly directed not to leave her assigned Sambalpur headquarters without securing prior formal permission from the RDC (ND).
Jayashree will be entitled to receive a subsistence allowance in accordance with Rule-90 of the Odisha Service Code.
The department has directed the District Collector of Boudh to formally serve the suspension order and submit draft charges along with the memo of evidence to initiate disciplinary proceedings.
