A spectacular celestial moment unfolded at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami 2025, as the much-anticipated ‘Surya Tilak’ phenomenon graced the idol of Ram Lalla.
Exactly at 12 noon, a precisely aligned beam of sunlight gently illuminated the forehead of Ram Lalla, forming a radiant ‘tilak’ — a symbolic blessing from the Sun God. The divine event drew gasps of devotion and wonder from thousands of devotees present at the temple and millions watching live across the country.
The ‘Surya Tilak’ has been scientifically designed using advanced optics and engineering, ensuring that the sunbeam touches the idol at this exact time every year on Ram Navami, which marks the birth of Lord Ram.
This year’s event holds special significance as it is the first Ram Navami celebration after the Pran Pratishtha (consecration) of the grand Ram Mandir earlier this year.
The temple complex reverberated with chants of “Jai Shri Ram” as the beam of light fell on the deity, symbolizing divine presence and celestial harmony.
