Officials from the district supply department conducted a surprise raid at Sahu Gas Service in Beheramal, Jharsuguda, on Friday morning and seized 92 gas cylinders stored illegally.
The raid, carried out under the direction of the Collector, led to the recovery of 28 filled domestic cylinders, one filled commercial cylinder, and 63 empty cylinders.
Additional Supply Officer Pitambar Sethy, Surya Kumar Panigrahi, and supply inspectors from Jharsuguda Municipality, Kirikira, Sadar Block, Brajarajnagar, Belpahad Municipality, and Lakhanpur Block participated in the operation.
Authorities confirmed that the cylinders were stored without proper authorisation. The raid forms part of the district’s ongoing crackdown on illegal gas storage and distribution.
