A harrowing incident has sent shockwaves through Hindol, Dhenkanal district, where a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and left unconscious near a secluded area.
According to reports, the suspect fled the scene after the attack, leaving the child in critical condition.
The victim was discovered unresponsive and covered in blood under a tree, where locals found her and rushed her for medical treatment. She was initially admitted to Hindol Hospital before being transferred to Angul District Headquarters Hospital for intensive care.
Police authorities, including Hindol Sub-Divisional Police Officer Satya Kumar Nanda and station officer Charulata Behera, have mobilised scientific teams and sniffer dogs to track the suspect. As investigations continue, residents are demanding immediate action to ensure justice.
