A horrifying incident has shaken the Riamal area in Odisha’s Deogarh district, where a four-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a minor boy.
According to police reports, the incident occurred Saturday morning when the accused, a 17-year-old minor from the same village, lured the young girl into his home under the pretence of showing her a mobile phone.
The victim, who had been playing outside, informed her mother tearfully about the traumatic experience. Subsequently, her mother lodged a formal complaint at the Riamal police station late last night.
Authorities have registered a case and initiated a thorough investigation into the matter.
The accused minor has been detained by police for questioning, as investigators aim to gather all evidence needed to ensure justice is served.
