The two-day state-level ADVIKA Convention came to a successful conclusion at Kalinga Stadium, Bhubaneswar, marking a significant event in the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025.
Deputy Chief Minister Smt. Pravati Parida graced the occasion, participating in the morning yoga session with the youths. Emphasizing the importance of mental health, she noted that staying mentally healthy through yoga enhances decision-making abilities.

Organized by the State Women and Child Development Department, the convention featured a diverse range of activities aimed at fostering the talents and skills of adolescents. Various competitions were held, including debates, dances, painting, badminton, and puchi competitions. Additionally, skill development workshops focused on handicrafts, leadership, and self-defense, while cultural performances showcased folk dance, drama, and music.
The event also included motivational talks by experts on topics such as career development, health, and empowerment. Higher Education, Sports and Youth Services, Odia Literature and Culture Minister Shri Suryavanshi Suraj, attending as the guest of honor, praised the efforts for women and child development. He highlighted that such programs help develop leadership, teamwork, and a sense of playfulness among girls and boys.
Deputy Chief Minister Parida encouraged the youths, asserting that the development of society is possible only when the interest and talent of adolescents are nurtured. She inspired them to take a strong stand against social issues like child marriage.
The convention concluded with the distribution of prizes to the state-level winners, celebrating their achievements and encouraging them to continue their journey of skill and talent development.
