During the ongoing Odisha Assembly session, State Public Enterprises Minister Krushna Chandra Mahapatra revealed that 10,264 posts remain vacant across 32 state-run corporations.
Mahapatra informed the House that several key corporations are struggling with manpower shortages. He presented a detailed breakdown of vacancies:
- Odisha Agro-Industries Corporation – 288 posts vacant
- Odisha Seeds Corporation – 103 vacant
- Odisha Mining Corporation – 1,163 vacant
- Odisha Construction Corporation – 483 vacant
- Odisha Hydro Power Corporation – 1,112 vacant
- Odisha Power Transmission Corporation – 3,261 vacant
- Odisha Small Industries Corporation – 205 vacant
- Odisha Lift Irrigation Corporation – 1,150 vacant
- Odisha Warehousing Corporation – 349 vacant
- Odisha State Road Transport Corporation – 361 vacant
- WATCO (Water Corporation of Odisha) – 65 vacant
- Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (IDCO) – 117 vacant
