A young man lost his life after a train accident near Kusumpada, close to Lakhna Railway Station in Nuapada district, on Tuesday morning.
Villagers discovered the body lying on the railway track without a head. They immediately informed the railway staff at Lakhna. Railway police reached the site and began an investigation. The victim’s identity remains unknown, and officers are searching for clues to establish it.
Local residents believe the accident occurred when the Raipur–Visakhapatnam Vande Bharat Express passed through the area on Monday evening. They suspect the unidentified man was struck by the train during its journey.
Railway police continue their investigation. They are working to confirm whether the Vande Bharat train was involved and to identify the deceased. Authorities are also examining the circumstances that led to the tragic accident.
