Cuttack: Jagatpur police have arrested a youth for allegedly stealing a Motorcycle and mobile phone of a man. The accused has been identified as Kalandi Nayak of Krushnanagar Patana under Jajpur road police station limits.
Reportedly, Kalandi called one Aakash Chandra introducing himself as a private bank employee on the pretext of providing a job. Thereafter, the accused asked Aakash to fill up a form. While Aakash was busy filling the form. Meanwhile, Kalandi fled with his two-wheeler and mobile phone.
With no option left, Aakash lodged a complaint at the Jagatpur police station regarding the theft.
Police registered a case (167/21) under relevant Sections of the IPC and launched a probe in this regard.
After pertinent efforts, police managed to nab the accused and also recovered the stolen item from his possession. The accused has been forwarded to court, sources informed.
