Bhubaneswar: Kharavela Nagar police have arrested a youth on the charges of stealing mobile phones in the state capital, Bhubaneswar.
The arrestee has been identified as Sadekul Islam alias Gandu (19) of unit 3, a habitual mobile phone thief.
As per reports, while patrolling at Kharavela Nagar in-charge Bibhudutta Rautray nab the accused with the seizure of two stolen phones from his possession.
Reportedly, there are several pending cases against Gandu at different police stations, sources informed.
A case was registered about the same and the accused has been forwarded to court. Currently, Gandu is at undertrial custody as his bail was rejected in court.
