Heatwave: Yellow warning issued for 8 Odisha dists

Bhubaneswar: The Regional Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar issued a yellow warning for heatwave in Odisha today in which eight districts of the state will be affected. The heatwave condition is very likely to prevail over Sambalpur, Sonepur, Bargarh, Balangir, Nuapada, Boudh, Jharsuguda, and Kalahandi districts of the state. These districts have been warned to refrain from traveling as much as possible between 11 am to 3 pm. Mercury has crossed by 44 degrees Celsius in seven cities in western Odisha due to the effects of heatwave.
