Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s pace bowler Yash Dayal has been named in a First Information Report (FIR) for allegedly raping a minor girl.
The FIR, lodged on Wednesday at the Sanganer Sadar police station in Jaipur, invokes charges under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
According to police officials, the victim has alleged that Dayal first assaulted her in 2023 when she was 17 years old. A second incident reportedly occurred in April 2025, at a hotel in Sitapura, Jaipur, when the cricketer was in the city for IPL duties.
“She alleged that the cricketer promised support for her career and called her to a hotel during his IPL visit. It was there that the second assault took place,” said Anil Jaiman, SHO of Sanganer Sadar police station.
Dayal, who started his IPL career with Gujarat Titans and now plays for Royal Challengers Bengaluru, had been a key part of RCB’s trophy-winning lineup this year. He has not issued any public statement on the allegations yet.
Notably, Dayal is also facing separate charges in Ghaziabad, where another woman has accused him of sexual exploitation over a five-year relationship. The current case adds a new layer of controversy around the cricketer’s professional career and public image.
