Bhubaneswar: While the entire nation is praising Naveen Patnaik’s administrative skills, the Odisha CM is working on the aspects to manage the Coronavirus crisis.
Taking to Twitter, Patnaik cleared his stance and stated that, “As the country is at the peak of COVID-19 pandemic, we have not sought any immediate financial assistance to burden the Central Govt and would like to manage it through our own resources to tide over the crisis.”

Patnaik’s statement came in while Prime Minister Narendra Modi was on a visit to Odisha in order to look take stock of thr situation that prevailed after Cyclone Yaas tore through the state recently.
Besides this, the Odisha Chief Minister “Sought assistance for long term measures to make Odisha disaster resilient”.
He also highlighted Odisha’s demand for disaster resilient power infrastructure and resilient coastal protection with storm surge resilient embankments.
Later, he thanked the PM for visiting Odisha as he apprised him about the large scale devastation caused by the cyclone and steps taken by the State Government ahead of the cyclone and the ongoing restoration efforts.
Notably, Patnaik welcomed PM Modi to Odisha today as the Prime Minister was on a vist to the state in order to take stock at the aftermath of Cyclone Yaas.
