Puri: The body of a woman was recovered from a hotel room in Puri today. The deceased had reportedly come to the pilgrim town from Bengaluru to attend a conference.
According to reports, the matter came to light this morning after the victim did not responded to the waiter’s call. Following this, the hotel staff alerted the police about the same.
On receiving information, police reached the spot, broke open the door and found the woman hanging inside the room.
Though the motive of the incident was not immediately known, prima facie it appeared to be a case of suicide.
A case has been registered and further probe into the incident is underway, said sources.
