Lucknow: The Yogi Adityanath-ruled UP government has ruled out any night curfew or lockdown in any part of the state but focus on strict containment strategies.
The UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh said strengthening surveillance and augmenting testing has become the part of the strategy to contain coronavirus cases in the state.
The state government has put the Integrated Control and Command Centre of the Health department on high alert to monitor the coronavirus situation.
As the festival of colour, Holi, is approaching the state government is expecting a major rush at airports, railway and bus stations. As a preventive measure, the UP administration has decided to conduct a coronavirus test on air travellers and passengers arriving at railway platforms and bus stations from outside the state.
Singh said directions were issued to make micro containment zones within an area of 250 metres even if one case was reported from any part of the state.
