Prime Minister Narendra Modi has lauded the successful conclusion of the 45-day Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, describing it as a “Maha Yagya of unity” that showcased India’s cultural and spiritual strength.
In a blog post, he commended the collaborative efforts of the central and state governments, as well as the local residents of Prayagraj, for their dedication in serving the multitude of devotees who attended this grand event.
Reflecting on the event, which culminated on Maha Shivratri, Prime Minister Modi emphasized the significance of the Maha Kumbh as a symbol of national unity and cultural awakening. He noted that the gathering of millions at the Triveni Sangam—the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers—was a testament to the nation’s evolving consciousness and collective devotion.
The Prime Minister also highlighted the historical and spiritual importance of Prayagraj, referencing its connection to events like the meeting of Lord Shri Ram and Nishadraj at Shringverpur, which symbolizes unity and harmony in Indian tradition. He expressed that the Maha Kumbh serves as an inspiration for national unity and collective progress.
In his message, Prime Minister Modi called upon the nation to channel the spirit of unity demonstrated during the Maha Kumbh towards the “Maha Yagya of a Viksit Bharat” (Developed India), urging citizens to work together for the nation’s development and prosperity.
