Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, embarks on an official tour to the United Kingdom and Austria today.
This visit aims to deepen India’s economic and financial relationships with both nations through high-level dialogues, bilateral meetings, and collaboration opportunities.
On April 9th, the Finance Minister will co-chair the 13th Ministerial Round of India-UK Economic & Financial Dialogue (EFD) alongside the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer in London. This dialogue covers topics including investments, digital economy, FinTech, sustainable climate finance, and UPI interlinkages. Various reports and initiatives are set to be launched to foster greater cooperation.
Smt. Sitharaman will also deliver the keynote address at the India-UK Investor Roundtable, interacting with CEOs and leaders from the financial sectors of both countries. During the Austrian leg of her visit, the Minister will engage with senior government officials and Austrian CEOs, focusing on investment opportunities and collaborations in India.
