Bhubaneswar: The police officials on election duty seized unaccounted cash amounting to Rs 1.5 lakhs from a car on Tuesday.
The police apprehended the suspicious car and seized the cash during a late-night routine checking at Falcon Square coming under Laxmisagar P.S, Bhubaneswar.
The man driving the car was not able to provide satisfactory explanations regarding the source of unaccounted cash to the police, which led to the seizure.
According to reports, the individual who was apprehended had just finished his usual business at a bar and was on his way home when police detained him.
The seized amount has been sent to the District Grievances Committee, Khordha for further inquiry.
