Benoni: Indian women’s team outclassed Scotland by 83 runs in their final Group D match of the Women’s U-19 T20 World Cup at Willowmoore Park, here on Wednesday.
India maintained its winning run with a good batting run in the middle for most of its batters.
The stars of India’s huge victory were opener Gongadi Trisha and left-arm spinner Mannat Kashyap. After losing Shafali Verma and Sonia Mehdiya early, Gongadi Trisha and Richa Ghosh put India back on track with a solid partnership before Shweta Sehrawat provided an explosive finishing touch.
The victory means India finish Group D as table toppers, registering three wins out of three matches and storm into the Super Six stage.
