Kendrapara: A tutor was arrested by Marshaghai police for allegedly thrashing a class-III boy student at Purushottampur village in Kendrapara district.
According to police, Laxmipriya Behera of Purusotttampur village gave private tuition classes in her house, while her husband Rajendra Rout also took the classes occasionally.
According to reports, the teacher beat the student up as the latter failed to recall the multiplication table during the tution class.
The minor boy sustained grievous injuries and was admitted to Marshaghai Community Health Centre.
On being informed, police filed a case and eventually arrested the tutor.
