Trump Calls UN Incidents a ‘Triple Sabotage,’ Demands Probe

US President Donald Trump has demanded an investigation into what he called three “sinister events” that disrupted his visit to the 80th UN General Assembly in New York on Tuesday.

Trump, accompanied by First Lady Melania Trump, described the incidents — a stalled escalator, a teleprompter failure, and sound issues in the Assembly hall — as deliberate attempts to undermine his speech.

“A REAL DISGRACE took place at the United Nations yesterday — Not one, not two, but three very sinister events!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

The escalator carrying the couple to the main floor “came to a screeching halt,” nearly causing them to fall. During his address, Trump’s teleprompter went dark for 15 minutes, forcing him to deliver a 57-minute speech from memory. Afterward, Trump claimed that the sound system was cut, preventing world leaders from hearing him unless they used interpreters’ earpieces.

Trump called the incidents a “triple sabotage”, urged the UN Secretary-General to preserve security footage — particularly of the escalator’s emergency stop button — and confirmed that the US Secret Service is now involved.
