In anticipation of heavy traffic congestion, the Commissionerate Police has issued an advisory for Bhubaneswar residents ahead of the Congress party’s planned massive demonstration near the State Assembly on March 27.
The advisory highlights potential gridlock between 9 AM and 3 PM, particularly on the route from Raj Mahal Square to Rupali Square. Commuters are urged to avoid these areas and plan alternative travel routes to minimize inconvenience.
This demonstration follows the suspension of 12 Congress MLAs on March 25 for alleged indiscipline during an Assembly session. Two additional Congress MLAs faced suspension earlier this week for similar actions. The Congress party announced their plans to escalate the protest, citing concerns over women’s safety as the primary agenda behind the agitation.
Commissionerate Police requested citizens cooperate with law enforcement and stay updated through local traffic advisories for a hassle-free commute.
