TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL), a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha, celebrated Quality Month 2024 with the theme “Quality: From Compliance to Performance.”
The month-long initiatives focused on Process Excellence, Continual Improvement, Visual Workplace Management and Capability Building. Key achievements included the launch of the TQM Workbook on Daily Management (DM), formation of Quality Circles, identification of model 5S locations and participation of 72 Prayaas and 14 QCC teams in the Annual QCC and Prayaas Competitions.
The closing ceremony, held at the Management Development Centre (MDC) in Bhubaneswar, was graced by CEO and TQM Core Committee Chairperson, Mr. Arvind Singh, alongside senior leaders.
Addressing the gathering, Mr. Singh said, “TQM at TPCODL is a cornerstone of our efforts to refine processes, meet evolving customer needs and foster a culture of ownership and continuous learning.”
The event honoured winners of Quality Month initiatives and recognized contributors to TPCODL’s quality journey. Leadership insights emphasized risk-based thinking, zero harm to health, safety and environment and achieving “First Time Right” in all operations.
