Bhubaneswar: Odisha government has promoted three senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers to the rank of Director General of Police (DGP). The officers, Vinaytosh Mishra, RP Koche, and Susanta Kumar Nath, have been recognized for their exemplary service and dedication.
Vinaytosh Mishra and RP Koche, both from the 1993 batch, have been promoted to the DGP grade in the Level-16 of the Pay Matrix. Mishra is currently serving as the Additional Director General (ADG) of Police, CID, and Crime Branch in Odisha, while Koche holds the position of Director, Intelligence.
Susanta Kumar Nath, also from the 1993 batch, who is presently on central deputation as the Inspector General (IG) of Police at the Border Security Force (BSF), has been granted a proforma promotion to the DGP rank.
The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a notification regarding these promotions, highlighting the officers’ contributions to maintaining law and order in the state. This move is expected to further strengthen the leadership within the Odisha Police Department.
