Three persons were killed in a car-truck collision on National Highway 57 near Pitapalli Chhak, Khurda, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
The collision occurred when a car, carrying residents from the Chandrapur area in Puri, rammed into a lorry from behind. The impact was so severe that two occupants of the car, Bishwa Chetan Mishra and Bishwaranjan Sethi, died at the scene. The third occupant, Prashant Pradhan, was critically injured and rushed to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Upon receiving the distress call, police quickly arrived at the scene to clear the road and inform the families of the deceased. A thorough investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident, with authorities exploring the possibility of driver error or mechanical failure.
