A gas balloon burst at Satsang Vihar temple near Dharmashala School in Sundargarh, leaving three people seriously injured.

The helium-filled balloon, flown during temple activities, fell due to gas depletion and caught fire while being lowered.

The injured include Basant Kumar and Bibhuti Bhushan Mohanty, who were operating the balloon, and Pandu Charan Pradhan, a devotee from Kendrapara. Two of them were admitted to the district headquarters hospital, while the third is receiving treatment at the government medical college and hospital. Doctors have reported that all three are in stable condition.
