Sambalpur: As many as three constables of the Motor Vehicle Department here have been placed under suspension for allegedly cheating the department through fuel overbilling.
The accused officials have been identified as Simanchal Sethi, Ajit Dhal and Ranjit Swain of MV section of Reserve Police.
According to reports, the allegation was levelled on the trio regarding fuel overbilling during the recently-concluded panchayat polls in the state.
Meanwhile, Sambalpur superintendent of police (SP) has initiated the action against the trio.
