Bhubaneswar: The people of Odisha have been relieved of the heatwave for the past few days as the day temperature dropped below 40 °C across the state on Sunday.
However, Boudh district witnessed maximum day temperature is 40.5 degrees Celsius, the hottest place of Odisha, on the second consecutive day. In all other districts, the mercury remained below 40 degrees Celsius. This was informed by the BhubaneswarMeteorological Department.
As per the IMD’s evening bulletin, Today, the temperature in Balasore was 34.9 degrees Celsius, in Chandbali 36.6 degrees Celsius, in Cuttack 37 degrees Celsius, in Paradip 32.6 degrees Celsius, in Bhubaneswar 37.2 degrees Celsius, in Gopalpur 33.3 degrees Celsius, in Puri 34.1 degrees Celsius, in Angul 38.1 degrees Celsius, in Baripada 37.1 degrees Celsius, in Jharsuguda 37.2 degrees Celsius.
The maximum temperature recorded in Keonjhar was 35 degrees Celsius followed by 36.5 degrees in Sambalpur, 38 degrees in Sundergarh, 35.9 degrees in Hirakud, and 37.5 degrees in Talcher.
Similarly, Bhawanipatna recorded 38.5 degrees Celsius, Bolangir 37.8 degrees Celsius, Koraput 32.2 degrees Celsius, Phulbani 36.5 degrees Celsius, Titlagarh and Malkangiri 38 degrees Celsius each, Sonepur 39.8 degrees Celsius, Nayagarh 38 degrees Celsius, Chhatrapur 33.6 degrees Celsius and Rayagada recorded 35.5 degrees Celsius.
