Melbourne: India will start their T20 World Cup 2022 campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on October 23.
Both the sides played their first official warm-up games on Monday, with the Men in Blue winning their match by six runs against Australia. However, the Men in Green suffered a six-wicket defeat at the hands of England.
Following the completion of the warm-up matches, star Indian batter Virat Kohli and Pakistan captain Babar Azam were found training together at the nets in Gabba. Babar skipped the warm-up game against England with Shadab Khan leading the side. But, Kohli scored a cameo of 19 from 13 balls in the practice game against defending World Champions Australia.
