Over 20 lakh women in Odisha received financial assistance of Rs 5000 each under the third phase of the Subhadra Yojana.
The scheme, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, aims to uplift women by providing them with direct financial support.
The third phase of the Subhadra Yojana was launched during a special event in Sundargarh, where Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida highlighted the government’s commitment to empowering women.
“This initiative is a testament to our dedication to improving the lives of women across Odisha. We are on track to include over one crore women in this scheme by the end of the year,” Parida stated.
Under the Subhadra Yojana, eligible women aged 21 to 60 years will receive a total of Rs 50,000 over five years, distributed in two equal installments annually. The funds are directly credited to the beneficiaries’ Aadhaar-linked bank accounts, ensuring transparency and efficiency.
