Mayurbhanj: The Similipal National Park in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha remained closed for tourists today.
This has been informed by North Similipal deputy director.
Reportedly, the national park was closed for visitors due to continuous heavy rainfall.
The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure, said Similipal authorities.
The Similipal National Park, located in northern Odisha, is spread over 2750 sq-km, famous for its flawless beauty due to its variety of plants and animals, which attracts tourists.
It is located at a height of more than 1,000 meters above sea level, hence the place receives heavy rainfall maximum of the days.
