Actor Sidharth Malhotra took to Instagram on Wednesday urging caution after a fan alleged she was scammed of Rs 50 Lakh by the actor’s fan page.
His statement said, “It has been brought to my attention that certain fraudulent activities/scams have been circulating on various social media platforms, allegedly claiming to be associated with or in relation to me, my family and people claiming to be my fans and seeking money.”
Sidharth further added, ” I want to assure everyone reading this that neither I nor my family or team support any of this. I urge all of you to exercise caution when dealing with such matters. If you receive any suspicious requests, report them to the appropriate authorities and avoid spreading false information. My fans have always been my biggest strength and your trust and safety are my top priorities. Big Love and Hug!”

The statement follows a revelation by a US-based fan who detailed her experience on X, stating that she was swindled out of Rs 50 lakh by a Sidharth fan page. The page falsely claimed that Sidharth’s life was at risk due to his wife, actress Kiara Advani, and made derogatory allegations about her and other prominent figures in Bollywood.
On the professional front, Sidharth was recently seen in Sagar Ambre’s action thriller ‘Yodha’, which enjoyed moderate box-office success and brought him acclaim for his performance. The film was produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, with Disha Patani and Raashii Khanna also starring in the action-packed movie.
