New Delhi: The Judicial custody of Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has been extended until October 21 in the Patra Wala Chawl case.
The ED on Monday completed its arguments on the Rajya Sabha MP’s bail plea in the money laundering case pertaining to irregularities in the redevelopment of Patra Chawl in Goregaon in north Mumbai.
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on August 1 arrested Raut in connection with alleged financial irregularities in the redevelopment project of Patra Chawl. Initially, after being in the ED’s custody, he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days, which was extended twice.
ED officials raided Raut’s residence in Mumbai on July 31 and, after questioning him for several hours, arrested him on August 1.
